Our company has a policy which all receive email will forward to 3 incomingmailboxes automatically. Now we have a problem. Exchange 2007 will send thedelivery-receipt to sender automatically when client download the email by usingPOP3/IMAP. The sender also receive several 'delivery-receipt' from these 3incoming mailboxes. Now I want to know how to disable sending thiese delivery receipts

One of the workaround would be to create transport rule
Apply transport rule (It doesn’t work when message is sent with OWA, but it works when the message is sent from POP client)
1. Condition: check “when the message header contains text patterns ”
Change ‘message header ’ to ‘Disposition-Notification-TO’; ‘text patterns ’ to ‘YourDomainName ’
Notes : ‘Disposition-Notification-TO’ means that sender wants a Delivery Report when the mail is received (read, processed, etc.) by receiver
2. Action: check “log an event with message ”, you can set ‘message’ like ‘Remove Read Receipts’
Notes : it’ll be logged to your application log
3. Action: check “remove header ”
Change ‘header’ to ‘Disposition-Notification-TO’

Hi,You will need to do this via a group policy which changes the settings to never send a deliver-reciept. As far as I know it can't be disabled on Exchange itself because it's a client setting.Regards,Johanblog: www.johanveldhuis.nl

I believe the proper way to address this would be by configuring the remote domains under the Organization, Hub Transport settings.http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa996309.aspxYou can disable delivery receipts to the default remote domain "*" - or create additional remote domain entries for specific domains that you do not want notified of delivry/read receipts.Chris
