I plan to disable ECP from Internet access. I try to use Set-ECPVirtualDirectory -Identity "CAS01\ecp (default web site)" -AdminEnabled $false it give error

I agree with Gabor, besides please try to ensure Remote Registry service works fine in CAS01.
Or run this command in CAS01 for testing.

I am running the power shell on CAS01 and all firewall is disable. The remote register services is started but still the same.

Hi,

For your question, please try to open IIS Manager in CAS01, expand to Application Pools, then select MSExchangeECPAppPool and click Recycle.
Or please run IISRESET to reset IIS for testing.

Hi,
Please try to reset or recreate this ECP virtual directory for testing:
1. Login EAC, then switch to Servers.
2. Expand Virtual Directories, then select ECP which you want to reset, then click Reset option.

Hi,

When I try to reset the virtual directory, it get error as below:

CAS01\ecp (Default Web Site)
Deletion of virtual directory 'IIS://CAS01.masb.com/W3SVC/1/ROOT/ecp' on 'CAS01' failed.

When I look at the IIS on CAS01, the ecp virtual directory was missing.

How to make this ecp virtual directory seeing back and disable for internet facing

Can you run Get-EcpVirtualDirectory | FL to get problematic VD? Please run iisreset and try again.
Please run Remove -EcpVirtualDirectory Identity, then New-EcpVitualDirectory InternalURL 'https://<Server01><DomainName>/ECP' -WebSiteName 'Default Web Site' -AdminEnabled $false.
