Hi,
We currently have a Lync Online subscription for our 60 staff members, which has been created under a separate domain to our local accounts.
Due to an issue with the Lync Basic client, we have upgraded everyone to the full Office 2013 suite so that we can use the Lync 2013 full client.
There are several features that don't work between the two systems (which is fine - I understand why) but the one feature that is working is the contact search within Lync. If I search for a workmate's name in Lync, it brings up two results. One is their Lync Online account, and the other is their local domain email. The problem is that users often don't know which is the correct contact to add in Lync, and the local accounts are basically useless in Lync as they will never come online.
Is there a way to stop Lync from searching Outlook for contacts? Keep in mind that I don't have access to the Lync server as it is an online subscription.
Thanks
Michael
