HI guys, after i received an email, I do not want the received email to be edited by anyone for tracability reason.

How can i disable the "edit message' under Message, Actions?

What will be the easiest way or recommended way?

You could disable any menu or toolbar command to protect the received email from being edited, such as Edit Message.

To do this, we could use Group Policy Object. Refer the below article and look at the section on "Disabling menu items and command bar buttons."

You can use the Outlook VBA code sample to get the IDs that you need to be able to disable certain toolbar and menu commands. See:

Thanks for the info and reply, I went through the link and saw that it meant for office 2003, I am wondering if this can work on 2007 and 2010 as well?

HI Steve,

That was great! It was a breeze, please help me with another problem which i facing. 
my office enviroment have a mixture of office 2007, 2010 and 2013, mainly they are 2010 users. 
I have imported the template and enforce the policy and it works with 2010.

I tried to do the same for 2013 but I realize that I have to import the 2013 ADMX files into the central policy store. 
I did and and did see the policy inside, but when i enforce the policy, it doesnt work on 2013. Will you happen to guide me on this?
