Disabling an Exchange 2007 Send Connector
Right now, there is a hub transport role on each of the 3 servers with the mailbox role and each mailbox server is the source server for its own send connector. For example:
Source Server
Send Connector
MAILBOXSERVER1 Send Connector 1 for MAILBOXSERVER1
MAILBOXSERVER2 Send Connector 2 for MAILBOXSERVER2
MAILBOXSERVER3 Send Connector 3 for MAILBOXSERVER3
Each send connector points to a different smart host for external mail routing. If I remove Send Connector 2, will I need to list MAILBOXSERVER2 as an additional source server on one of the other send connectors? Or will the remaining send connectors
automatically start routing mail for MAILBOXSERVER2 as there is a hub transport role on each mailbox server?
Thanks

Currently using Exchange 2007 SP3 UR5
Question: We currently have 3 send connectors all pointing to different smart hosts. If we disable or remove one send connector, will the other two just pick up and handle the messages for the disabled send connector?
Let me know if additional details are needed.
Thanks
