Disconnected mailboxes have no DisconnectDate...
Hello all,
running Exchange 2010 no SP1 here. We have 2 ET, 2 CAS/HT with Network Load Balancing and 2 MB server with a DAG.
If we disconnect a mailbox the mailbox is not appearing in the EMC under Disconnected mailboxes.
Here is a solution that stated we had to run the clean-mailboxdatabase command.
But this isn't working for us. It still takes some random time before the Disconnectdate is filled in for that disconnected mailbox.
Anyone here having the same problem?
Any report that this issue is solved in SP1? Then, maybe upgrading to SP1 is a solution.
Thnx all!
Tim

Hi,
Did you checked the retention settings, it should not be set to zero.
Please try to use Get-MailboxStatistics cmdlet to see if you can find the mailbox (remember to use disconnection details in cmdlet)Regards from www.windowsadmin.info

Some forums suggest the clean-mailboxdatabase "db-name" command.
But it's without succes.
What do you mean with retention settings? If you talk about the deletion settings about the mailbox in the datbase, it's still on 14 days as standard.

Repadmin gives me to above status. Looks fine if you ask me.
We are going to upgrade to SP1 in a few weeks. We are hoping this will fix the issue....

Hi Tim,
Do the mailboxes immediately show in the Disconnected Mailboxes container? (just without the disconnected data on the properties?)
Clean-MailboxDatabase is the only thing i know of to force this. The rest of the work is on the maintenance/cleanup tasks of store.exe. In some cases you may have to wait up to 2 hours for the Store cache to clean. Cyclcing the Information Store service
will clear this cache (or dismount/mount per mailbox database).
There is also a known issue where the disconnected data never populates if the mailbox you are looking at has never been opened or received any emails. Not sure if there is a fix in the works for this.
Thanks,
