Do I need to re-create settings in Exchange 2013 before removing Exchange 2010?

I am approaching the tail-end of a 2010 to 2013 migration and preparing to uninstall Exchange 2010. I have settings and policies under send/receive connectors, accepted domains and rules that were created in Exchange 2010.

Do I need to re-create these in 2013 or perhaps upgrade them before removing Exchange 2010, and if so, how?

Hi,

Yes, you need to configure settings and policies under send and receive connectors, accepted domains and transport rules on new Exchange 2013 at first. And then do a test to make sure all these settings can work well. At last, uninstall the old Exchange 2010 server.

Hope my clarification can be helpful to you.

Best regards,
