Do i not have SP2 installed?
This might sound a stupid question but how do you check what version of Exchange you are running? Within EMC - Help - About. doesn't state the service pack. So programs and features within control panel. Lists loads of SP1 rollups upto 10 but no SP2 any where. So from what i can make out we are on only SP1. Why would this be? I have set auto updates and install them when downloaded. What is the main differences between SP1, 2 and 3 which is about to be released?

Exchange 2007 RTM 8.1 (build....)Exchange 2007 SP1 8.2 (build....)Exchange 2007 Sp2 Also have a look into this MS article regarding the Exchange Versions and build nos. I think Exchange service packs are not downloaded and installed by auto updates. SP2 is 800MB+ so you should download it manually and then install it. I would suggest to download and install all Update Rollups too for SP2. Here is the link to download Exchange 2007 SP2 . http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=4c4bd2a3-5e50-42b0-8bbb-2cc9afe3216a&displaylang=en Regards,Laeeq Qazi|Team Lead(Exchange + Sharepoint + BES + DynamicsCRM) www.HostingController.com

Installing SP2 requires changes to the AD schema. That's not something that can be done with Microsoft Update. :-) --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP
