Does PUSH work for Deleted Messages?
There is very little configuration to turn on and off in ActiveSync. The only thing that is pushed live is Inbox for new email. Any other changes are synchronised on a schedule. That will include Deleted Items. If you delete something on the device, then it should be deleted in the mailbox. Likewise if you delete something in the mailbox then it should be deleted in all clients. In some clients though, you have control over whether deleting an item on the device will delete the item in the mailbox. That will be a client setting though. Simon. Does Exchange Server Enterprise Edition (latest version I suppose) support PUSH technology for "Deleted" messages? It does for "New" messages, but Deleted messages do not seem to get pushed from Hilton's Exchange server to my Iphone. If it does, please provide instructions for turning it on so I can inform Hilton IT.

I am talking about the "badge" on the iPhone email icon that tells you the number of messages you have. It increases ALMOST IMMEDIATLY when a mail is received. It does NOT decrease almost immediately when an email is read on another client (such as MS Outlook). Why not? When using GMail's Sync product (which I believe is based on Exchange), the badge DOES decrease almost immediately. I am back and forth between the iPhone and Outlook, so I need both to show an accurate count of number of unread emails in inbox so I know when to check further.... I need email PUSH to work for decrementing counter of emails I've deleted from the other platform. Any help you can give is appreciated. I can be contacted at 239-571-8301 if there are more detailed questions.
