We are migrating to 2007. After a mailbox is migrated the smtp address is set to EMAIL GONE due to policy. Some user's aliases are not there present name. Can the alias be changed without negative impact on routing?Brandon Novak Happy Time

When you move a mailbox and the legacyexchangedn changes, that legacyexchangedn is copied into an x500 address so that user doesn't have routing issues. The legacyexchangedn is used for reply routing and if the legacyexchangedn isn't the same, it'll look at the x.500 address to see if it matches the DN. So if you've moved your mailbox several times, you'll notice you have several x.500 addresses to ensure your routing still works.
