Does one require Terminal Server to log into Exchange?
I have a client who was setup with Windows Server 2003 Enterprise, using a Terminal Server to log into their exchange account internally. From what I understand, isn't it true that Terminal Server isn't necessary to use to logon Exchange in house, internally that is, I understand it's design for external sources. Like a client using their PC outside the office - but while in the office is it truly necessary to be using Terminal Server to logon to Exchange for this case? Is it possible that the IT personnel isn't sure how to set this up correctly?DMorales

No, if looking from a normal users view, you use Outlook. You dont need a TS server for this. Use Outlook to access your mailbox from the desktop unless youre using thin client env which I dont think your are. Maybe there's a reason for this but I can see for point 1. If youre talking about admin of the Exch server you can use MS RDP or ESM/EMC. (not sure what ver but shouldnt make a diff, just use the right tool for right exch ver) Sukh
