Domain Controller Priority Order
Hi There, We have Exchange 2007 implemented and I was wondering if there is a way to specify the domain controller order that the servers use for DSAccess. Currently it seems to try to go to the PDC emulator for a domain first then will try the other domain controllers. The PDC emulator for one of our domains is in a remote location, I would like the exchange server to use the local DC first then if unavailable to use the PDC emulator. Any ideas? Thanks, Matt

Hello Matt, There is not any way to set order but you can exclude the PDC from being used with Set-ExchangeServercommand. Set-ExchangeServer"E2K7-1.contoso.com" -StaticExcludedDomainControllers "dc-1.contoso.com" Exchange Server 2007, Exchange Server 2003, and Exchange 2000 Server may experience performance problems when the PDC emulator is used for DSAccess
