Domain Joined laptops with outlook 2010 are not connecting exchange server2010
Hello
Before We were able to use outlook 2010 to connect exchange server 2010 using outlook anywhere(rpc over https). All the laptops are part of the domain.
No changes on the server except updates. Now we are not able to connect to exchange server. It comes with " server is not aviable". I checked the connection status, it is trying connect through TCP/IP not https.
But my home laptop is not part of the domain, I tested my home laptop with outlook 2007, it works. My home laptop is connecting through rpc over https..
Now i do not understand it it a network issue or outlook 2010.
Please help me
Regards
Suresh

Hi Suresh,
1- Did you compare the Exchange Proxy Settings of the two machines? Is there anything different?
2- also did you check the authentication method?

Suresh,
There may be various reasons for this. Most probably, the connectivity failure with the Exchange server to specific ports. Check the connectivity to port 443 through telnet to the url. Also check firewall, proxy etc. to ensure that they are approaching in
friendly way to outlookRegards from ExchangeOnline

I would surmise that your internal SCP record for Autodiscover is configured incorrectly, then. Run:
Get-ClientAccessServer | FL Name,AutodiscoverServiceInternalUri
and correct as necessary.Ed Crowley MVP "There are seldom good technological solutions to behavioral problems."

hi Suresh,
Is it server side updates or outlook side updates. I suggest try to remove those updates first & see it comes back to normal. please share the update list you pushed to client/server. Additionally check if service connection point entries are in place
