I'm unable to locate the "Don't center Exact Line Height Lines" option in Word 2013.

You may locate the option on Word 2010:

File> Options> Advanced> Scroll right to the bottom> Compatibility Option, youll find the Layout Options button> Click on it> Look for the Dont Center Exact Line Height Lines.

Any idea if it's available on Word 2013?

It's still in the same place. Just in File> Options> Advanced> Scroll right to the bottom> Compatibility Option. Then select "custom" (last option from the dropdown menu) and you'll get to see checkboxes showing up including an option for "Dont Centre Exact Line Height Lines"

There is no Compatibility Option drop down. Mine is called "Compatibility Options for:"

There is no Custom option on the Compatibility Options for: drop down menu.

Mine shows:
All new documents
then it lists the last few Word docs I have had open.

Any other ideas?

If you are using Word 2013 and you are looking at a document in Word 2013 format, you will only see a limited list of layout options. If you resave in Word 97-2003 (*.doc) format, you will see the options as they appear in Word 2010 and 2007.

Microsoft restored this layout option in October 2014.  Apply the latest updates and hotfixes and the option will be available to you in Word 2013 .docx documents.
