My mother cannot access her word programme and has been told that it is because of a driver issue. Can someone please tell me how and from where she can download the necessary driver? I am sure that it was possible to locate relevant drivers on the MS site in the past but in a recent search, I could find very little on this issue.

It is unlikely that a driver (drivers are what Windows uses to communicate with the computer's video card and with printers) would cause Word not to work at all. If the drivers do have an adverse impact, you can look for updated ones on the relevant makers' websites.

Have you tried repairing the Office installation (via Start > Windows Control Panel > Programs > Programs & Features > Microsoft Office 2010 > Change)?
