Duplicate events for two calendars on Outlook 2010

Hi

I have a user who is a delegate of another user, we will call him as his boss

When sending an invitation to the boss, the delegate receives two copies of the meeting request - one for booking the event on his calendar and another one for booking the event on the boss's calendar

Is this an error? because if I send the meeting request to the boss, why is the delegate receiving it for his calendar also?

I mean, every meeting I send to the boss appears on the delegate calendar and on the boss's calendar as well, is this a bug?

Hi,

check the permissions for the delegate in the mailbox of the boss. Looks like the option "Delegate receives copies of meeting-related messages send to me" is activ.

Check point number 6 here: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook-help/allow-someone-else-to-manage-your-mail-and-calendar-HA010355554.aspx

I hope that helps.

If this option is not active the meeting request is trying to book itself on the delegate calendar, which is of course not what I want, but it does prevent the double events arrival

Hi,

sorry for the late reply.

Have you checked the "Resource scheduling"? If it's activ deactivate it. You can find it under "File/Options/Calendar". It's the last option in the menu.
