I've got a bunch of duplicate health mailbox's. Is there anyway to clean them all out and just leave the necessary ones? I only have one database. Exchange is working properly and there's no errors or warnings. I just don't want mailboxes that I don't need.

As suggest by Rajith Enchiparambil in his blog, the health mailboxes account will be listed in ADDomain.Local/Microsoft Exchange System Objects/Monitoring Mailboxes. You only need to select all these account and delete them.

When I do "get-mailbox -monitoring" I only see eleven health mailboxes.

However, when I do a get-mailboxstatistics I see statistics for all these 'duplicates'. So, which is correct? Do I have 10 duplicate healthmailboxes?

Base on my knowledge, there are 11 health mailboxes is correct, one for the database, ten for CAS server.

I also recommend you check that how many health mailboxes account are listed in Monitoring Mailboxes container.

In addition, you can try to recreate these mailboxes and check if the duplicate mailboxes will disappear.

There are 11 health mailboxes. I've already tried deleting them and allowing them to be recreated and I get 11 recreated.

I'm more concerned about the duplicate mailboxes in the get-mailboxstatistics output. That's the question I'd like answered.

It took a while but all the 'extra' healthmailboxes disappeared.
