Dynamic Distribution Group on Exchange 2007
I have a Dynamic Distribution Group on Exchange 2007 that is a mystery to me and thus I need your assistance. The DDG is named XXXX with an email address assigned of
XXXX@mydomain.com. In the filter tap I get no preview option so I can see who would be on this list. I do notice that under the conditions tab it uses Custome Attribute 7 set to Y. We would like to know
what this Y in Custome Attribute 7 does and who gets an email when an email is sent to
XXXX@mydomain.com. This is inherited wealth for us, with no documentation.

1. That customer attribute could be sued for anything, not only for the DDL.
2. You can maybe use this, in PS,
$members = GetDynamicDistributionGroup - Identity "name xxxxx"
Get-Recipient -RecipientPreviewFilter $members.RecipientFilter | Select Displayname,PrimarySmtpAddress > c:\DDG.txtSukh

Hi dvua,
Any updates?
Yes, you can use cmdlet provided by Sukh828 to preview members.
"In the filter tap I get no preview option so I can see who would be on this list. I do notice that under the conditions tab it uses Custome Attribute 7 set to Y. "
Preview buttom is under Conditions tab.
If you have further question, please run the cmdlet Get-DynamicDistributionGroup "group name" | fl
and post the result here. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. This can be beneficial to other community members reading the thread.
