Dynamic Distribution List combining existing distribution lists
I have 5 distribution list of managers that I want to combine into one. Some of the same names appear on each list. If I setup a dynamic distribution list, will it eliminated the duplicate names? Thanks

jpeevey,I am not sure what do you mean by duplication of names but if you are concerned about the duplication of email messages then categorizer will automatically take care of it to send a single copy of message. You can do it either of the follwoing ways:Add these exisiting DLs as a member of a new DL.Create a new QBDL to query the members of exisiting DLs or members based on their attribute values.MMilind Naphade

Milind,I may have Sue Smith on 4 of the 5 list and when I combine them in the Dynamic Distribution Group, I only want her to get one email. Thanks

Correct. This is what I wrote. Categorizer is smart enough to understand this entry as a single entity and does not generate multiple emails for the same user even if it is added multiple times in recipients. You can give it a try by sending a test message to a DL you are member of and CC yourself in the same email.M Milind Naphade | MCTS:M | http://www.msexchangegeek.com
