E-mail not reaching external user that once worked in the building
We are running SBS2003 and have a user that left the company to set up on his own. He wanted to use his old e-mail so that was set up. The problem we have is when anyone in our company trys to send him an e-mail our server is trying to deliver it locally. I am deleted the users e-mail account but still can't get the mail to leave the bulding.

How exactly did you setup the user to be able to use their old email address? Without that information it is hard to say what the problem is. Simon.Simon Butler, Exchange MVP Blog | Exchange Resources | In the UK? Hire Me.

Get the legacyExchangeDN property value (if you can) and add it as a custom X500 address on a mail-enabled Contact that has a targetAddress of his new SMTP address. --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP
