E2k7 Database Modified Dates
I have four Exchange 2007 databases. Since we are in the process of moving from E2k3 to E2k7, the db's are fairly small. As I move people over, I am spreading them out across the four dbs.
Everythings seems to work, but tonight I noticed that one db has a modifed date of 8/11/2008, while the other three dbs all have a modified dates of 8/18/2008 - todays date, and the times are all relative close to each other.
Why would one db have a modifed date of a week older than the others? All of these dbs are treated the same way. And were all set up the same way.
I have SCR set up for all four dbs.
Although things seem to be working, it does have me a bit concerned as it does not appear normal.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

This can have a lot to do with a number of different things. The date/time stamp is always updated when the database is mounted/dismounted, but it is not always updated during normal operations. During normal operations, I think the date/time stamp will be updated only if the file size actually "grows". If there is white space in the database, that space is reused. There are probably a couple of other events besides file growth and/or mounting/dismounting that would cause the time stamp to change, but I'm not sure what they are. But, the bottom line is that this is normal.

Thanks Jim, that does make sense. I'll keep an eye on it and see what happens as I keep adding people.
Thank you for the information.
