We have set our public timeout value for the OWA virtual directory to 15 minutes. We were wondering if there is a separate place to create a timeout value for only the EAC page so it was longer.

If the OWA timeout for private and also public is set to 5 min then the ECP would time out at the specified time as well.

General steps to set Forms-Based Authentication time-out value.

1. On CAS, open up registry
2. Navigate  to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\MSExchange OWA
3. see if you have the PublicTimeout and PrivateTimeout
4. The values entered there would be in minutes
5. If they do not exist then create the two DWORD values and specify a timeout range that is more than 15 min
6. Restart the FBA service and see if the ECP page now timesout at the specified time in the registry
