EMC slow after installing Rollup 3
We have a development lab with Exchange 2007 sp1 installed on 64bit 2008 Servers.
We have deployed 2 mailbox servers (Active/Passive CCR)
2 CAS servers with NLB
and 2 HUB Transport servers.
We have installed Rollup 3 for 2007 sp1 and gone through all of the .config fixes since this lab is offline and we had the issue with services not starting. All services are running now.
The only issue we cannot resolve is a slowness opening the EMC on all 6 servers. We did not have an issue until we installed rollup 3 which is odd because rollup 3 was suppose to fix this issue instead of create it.
When we launch EMC it takes a moment before the adding snap-in to console box appears.
Eventually it will get a message that the snap-in is not responding. If we click cancel it will open a window that says expand.
Eventually EMC opens.
I have tried opening a new snap-in from mmc and have the same problem opening Exchange Management.
I dont see any issues contacting the domain controller when running BPA.
Is anyone else having this issue after installing rollup3 ? Or any suggestions to fix it?
Thanks,

Hi,
First please try to install Exchange Management tools on other client computer and then open EMC from client computer to see whether the issue will occur there.
Then please follow the below steps to troubleshoot this issue.
1. Please Open Exchange Management Console, click File-Option, there please click on delete files. It will remove all the previous customizations to console files.
2. Since when you open EMC, it will try to query information in DC/GC in the site. Please try to check the NIC configuration on DC, whether it has been set to half duplex, If so, set them to full duplex.
3. Change the Internet Explorer settings on your Exchange server:
1. Open Internet Explorer.2. Open Tools -> Internet Options.3. Select the "Advanced" tab.4. Scroll down and un-check the box labeled "Check for publisher's certificate revocation".5. Click OK.
4. Please try to restart the dc and then check the issue.
5. Please check application log to see whether error event logs there.
6. You may try to use network monitor 3.1 to capture network traffic when you open EMC.

Thank you very much. The solution was #3
Changing the IE settings corrected the problem. I assume because this is an offline lab without Internet access.
Thanks again,
