EX2007 IMAP
Related to the other discussion I find the UI for IMAP management and even more troubleshooting/diagnostics missing completely for EX07.
I was able to learn the basics and get it up and running. There all of the sudden I started to see:
"Log onto incoming mail server (IMAP): General authentication failed. None of the authentication methods supported by your IMAP server (if any) are supported on this computer."
I tried to look for any logs or articles that would explain this but no luck so far.
Any suggestions?
Thx

What client are you using for IMAP? What authentication options does it support. You may want to enable authentication diagnostics logging for IMAP. This is done through a cmdlet (used to be in the interface). At the EMS prompt, type HELP *diagnostics* and see which cmdlets popup. I don't have an E2K7 server with me (I'm an airport), but there is a cmdlet that allows you to set diagnostics logging. Of course, you can do it in the Registry just like old times. Once enabled, this may give you some indication as to what is wrong with the IMAP authentication.

Thanks for the tip - would you have the registry key or cmd please?
I found only keys for enabling logging giving registry value of 1 - 5 where 5 is the most extended but the hive does not exist and later somebody told me this is only supported on EX 2003...
I am using Outlook 2007 as the client and the strange thing is that it worked for abotu 3 - 4 weeks. Than all of the sudden this error. Telnet to 143 seems the service is up and runnign but when I look at each of the mailbox properties IMAP is gone from all of them....
Thx
