EX2010 SP2 Mutli-Tenant redirected Autodiscover breaks remote EMC & EMS
I have followed this article--
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff923256.aspx
--to set up redirected Autodiscover for multi-tenant Exchange 2010 SP2 (not using /Hosting).
After doing so, EMC and EMS launch normally when run on the server itself. But when run remotely, EMC posts this message when I click on the
Microsoft Exchange On-Premises node:
-----------------------------
Initialization Failed
The following error occurred while attempting to connect to the specified Exchange server 'server.domain.local':
The attempt to connect to http://server.domain.local/Powershell using "Kerberos" authentication failed: Connecting to remote server failed with the following error message: The WinRM client set a request
to an HTTP server and got a response saying the requested HTTP URL was not available. This is usually returned by a HTTP server that does not support the WS-Management protocol. For more information, see the about_Remote_Troubleshooting Help topic.

EMS posts this similar message when launched remotely:
[server.domain.local] Connecting to remote server failed with the following error message : The WinRM client sent a request to an HTTP server and got a response saying the requested HTTP URL was not available. This is usually returned by a HTTP
server that does not support the WS-Management protocol. For more information, see the about_Remote_Troubleshooting Help topic.
+ CategoryInfo : OpenError: (System.Manageme....RemoteRunspace:RemoteRunspace) [], PSRemotingTransportException
+ FullyQualifiedErrorId : PSSessionOpenFailed
Failed to connect to an Exchange server in the current site.
Enter the server FQDN where you want to connect.:

If I stop the "Autodiscover Redirect" web site, remote EMC & EMS work correctly. So it appears that the connections are ending up at the "Autodiscover Redirection" web site instead of "Default Web Site". How do I prevent that?
I've reviewed all the steps in the article, and believe I have done exactly what it said...or rather, what was intended; it's a pretty mangled TechNet article.
TIA
