EXCHANGE 2007 SMTP and SSL
Hello. I am using Exchange 2007 and have SMTP configured to allow senidng using TLS. A valid certificate is installed, and POP and IMAP work using SSL. My problem is that when I configure a mail client to use SSL, it doens't work. It only works when TLS is selected. Since some clients don't support TLS, this is an issue. Can anyone point me in the right direction to get SSL to work with SMTP?

Which clients are you using that don't support TLS? TLS for SMTP has been standardized for a long time. If I remember the explaination of TLS I got a long time ago, it is supposed to fall back to SSL automatically if the TLS negotation does not work.

Outlook 2003, Windows Mail (in Vista) both only have an SSL option.,Neither one works. In Outlook 2007, there's a TLS and SSL option, of which only the TLS option works.
