Edge Transport Server -Microsoft Exchange ADAM Not available
Hi I installed a new Exchange Server 2007 SP2 organization. (HUB, Mailbox and Edge) Mail flow is working correctly. Now I made a Edge Subscription to replicate the information from AD to the Edge's ADAM. This synchronization is actually working correctly, but on the Edge Transport Server in Server Manager under Roles I found this message: System Services: 1 Unknown Display Name: - Service Name: ADAM_Microsoft Exchange ADAM Status: Not Available Startup Type: Monitor: Yes None errors in the event logs and all services are started. So i think there is a problem with the ADAM instance but I'm not further. Could anybody help me with this issue? Thanks!

I am having the same issue. i've been running Exchange 2007 for close to a year now without any noticable prblems except for that notificaton. Any idea what is causing that message and how to correct the problem?

I too am having the same issue. I think the problem is that the service it is trying to monitor, ' ADAM_Microsoft Exchange Adam', is misspelled. There is a service 'ADAM_MSExchange', with the name of 'Microsoft Exchange ADAM', that is up and running. However, I have no idea how to fix the monitor service that is reporting the issue to look for the correct service name.

I think you are right with your idea. With windows server 2003 it looks correctly, it could be the name chance from ADAM to ADLDS from server 2003-2008. I have this issue for a long time, but the edge transport server is working correctly and the safe sender list and recipients list can be update correctly with egdesynch. I hope microsoft will publish a patch for this wrong "display".
