Edge Transport in Exchange 2007
We have a new Windows SBS 2008 R2 (Exchange 2007)
Emails generated from our website with the following message:
550 5.7.1 External client with IP address xx.xx.xx.xx does not have
permissions to submit to this server.
Looking at KB articles we have to set permissions to allow emails from this IP address using Edge Transport.
Could you please guide me through this process.
Many thanks.

The product that you have listed doesn't exist. There is no such thing as SBS 2008 R2.
You either have SBS 2008 or SBS 2011.
Are you looking for the web site to be able to send email to external recipients? If so then you need to follow this article:

If the web server is sending email to internal recipients only, then no changes are required in a default configuration, so you must have configured restrictions on the Receive Connectors - usually the case if you are using an external third party antispam
service.

Hi,
Where is your website located ?. is it internal or external.
For internal : You can receive one receive connector to allow email from your web site into EDGE/HUB server.
External: By default it will access from all external source as anonymous access will have permission to send mail to internet facing EDGE/HUB server.

It is an external website hosted by an ISP. When you click on a link it sends a message using an email address on the Server.

Not resolved yet. Is there a Microsoft KB Article describing this process.

If you are sending an email to an address on your own server, then there should be nothing to configure on the server.
However this may not be a problem with your SBS Server at all. It could well be a problem with the web host. Many hosts will presume that you are using their services for everything - web, email etc. Therefore the email could be sent to a local host or not
even sent at all.
