Edge server incoming emails
Hi , I have a question regarding edge server.I got an edge server with a subscribed to my exchange server. Our emails work fine for incoming and outgoing. But I just checked our firewall and it seems that the firewall is opening the smtp connections directly to our hub transport. When I remove this rule and I open the incoming smtp traffic to go directly to the hub transport , incoming emails stop working and they don't even appear on the edge queue. Any ideas what's wrong ?Thank you.-Mehdi

I assume you mean you open the incoming SMTP traffic to go to edge directly here?
If you mean what I guess above, and mail is not in the edge queue, please let us know if the sender receive the NDR. If NDR is received, could you paste it here? Meanwhile, please check the SMTP log at edge server and paste the related log here for our further discussion.
Thanks,
Elvis

Yes you are assuming right. I meant that it stops working when I open incoming smtp traffic to go directly to edge. The sender doesn't receive the NDR . I could check the smtp log , but I will do it later tonight outside business hours . I will direct traffic directly to the edge and let you know about the smtp.Thank you .-Mehdi
