I have an edge transport server (exch 2013 SP1) in a perimeter environment. The networks are flat during setup. But when running the new-edgesubscription, I get the error below. I am running in the exchange PS. Not sure how else to run it to avoid the error below. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Most cases, the error has observed when you do the EDGE Subscription if you ever tried to join the server to the domain and disjoined later. So the steps can be like this

-Join the domain (setup will fail to uninstall edge on the next step if you are not following this)

-Uninstall the EDGE role from the server

-Disjoin the server from domain

-Install EDGE again

Mostly, the issue can be fixed like this

There are some factors we should make sure:

1.        Run this command on Edge server.
2.        Edge server is independent of other Exchange role on separated server
3.        Edge server didnt join domain
