Email Appears as Sent on Behalf (GoDaddy) IMAP

Good afternoon everyone,

I am currently working on a call for a customer that has recently been upgraded from SBS 2003 to Exchange 2013. The migration was successful, but we are experiencing something very strange with IMAP configured accounts in Outlook 2010.

When we send from the IMAP account (GoDaddy) the end user receives the email, but it appears as godaddyaccount@domain.com on behalf of Exchange User Exchange.User@exchangedomain.com

I have tried configuring a Hotmail and Gmail account for the same user and it has been received properly. I have created new users and the same thing happens. We have also recreated the users Outlook profile completely and had the same result.

While SBS box was still active we tried migrating a mailbox back and send a test email and they were successful, but when we put it back the email failed.

Has anyone seen this issues before?

Hi Nathan,

I suggest re-create a new profile and put the single account into this new profile for testing.
