I just ran into this:

A user had a bunch of folders in her Outlook favorites, some of these folders are from a PST opened in her Outlook profile, since yesterday, she is complaining that the folders from the PST file have disappeared from her favorites, the PST is still opened in her Outlook, so I don't know how this could have happened.

If there is something wrong with .PST file, please try to use SCANPST.exe to scan and fix the .PST file.

It happens but if scanpst.exe fails to recover your folders from Outlook pst then using Kernel for Outlook PST Repair Tool.
