Emailing SharePoint List
Greetings,
I am working on configuring an incoming Email enabled list for MOSS.I have setup an SMTP server on my MOSS machine (the name of the machine is SharePoint.Rag.Com) I believe I have everything setup correctly in MOSS, as I have tested sending to the MOSS list frommy internal eMail account and it worked fine. The problem is that when I try to send mail to the list from the internet I receive the message:
IT TeamSite FanMail
Your message wasn't delivered because of security policies. Microsoft Exchange will not try to redeliver this message for you. Please provide the following diagnostic text to your system administrator.
My outside domain name is: Sieloff.com, thus the email I send tofrom the internet is fanmail@sieloff.com. Internally I send mail to fanmail@sharepoint.rag.com. The account "fanmail" is an AD contact with two SMTP Addresses. fanmail@sieloff.com and fanmail@sharepoint.rag.com ... again.. internally, If I send to fanmail@sharepoint.rag.com it works fine.
Looking at the message I would guess that something more needs to be setup in the Exchange System Manager as it does not seem to even get passed my exchange server. Can someone point me in the right direction on how to get this forwarding to the SMTP server on my SharePoint server to work?
