Emails are going directly to the dumpster
Team
some of the users reporting, that some of the emails ,particularly the emails from application or from scan to email function is not received by them
when i check and found it is available in the user dumpster items, user confirmed that it is not deleted by them. Wheneevr the email comes it diectly goes to the dumpster.
checked and found there is no rules on the outlook and no transport rules are enabled from the server end
this os not affecting all the user, only few users are affected,
How can i resolve? will the mailbox move help me?

* Check for Auto Archive (set to short period)
* Start Outlook with the /cleanrules and /cleanserverrules switches.
* Clear Junk Email folder
* If nothing helps try move mailboxSAH

Agree. The mail message may go to dumpster if it is "Hard deleted". this kind of issue generally caused by Outlook rules. So please try the steps suggested by SAH.

If the issue continues, please move the problematic user mailbox to another server or another mailbox database. It can isolate the fault from a corrupted mailbox.

Finaally it was a resolved by the outlook settings
In Outlook , in junk email option ----> Unchecked the Permentely
delete suspected junk email instead of mving ot to the JUNK EMAIL FOLDER.Now all the emails from scan to email and application directly comes to inbox. All the emails which was treatead as Junkramakrishnan
