Emails not being displayed in correct order

Hi,

I've been advised to post this here (after posting within the Mac section in answers.microsoft) 

 I've a user who's emails aren't showing in the correct order,

The sort order of the emails is being displayed incorrectly - not in chronological order.

We have carried out the following:

Amended the Arrange By properties, removed + re-added the account to Outlook For Mac.

Outlook version is 15.8.2  which is the latest stable release within our organisation.  Connected to Exhange 2013 / O365 account.

Isolated to one user. 

Issue still occurs with both Unread and Read emails. 

Issue does not occur when using Outlook on Windows machine or when using Mail app on iOS device. 

OS version is Yosemite. 

User can send / receive emails successfully. 

Any help would be most appreciated.

Hi,

This forum is for general questions and feedback related to Outlook for Windows version. As far as I know, Outlook 15.8.2 is a version for Mac, since we don't have such a testing environment, we can provide few suggestions regarding this. Anyway, if it's a Windows version of Outlook, I'd suggest you reset the views of the mailbox. If there is such a setting in a Mac version of Outlook, you can have a try.

If above doesn't fix the issue, I'd recommend you post a new question in the Outlook for Mac forum for further assistance:

hello friend, 


Please try creating a new identity altogether 

Create a new Profile.

  • To create a new profile, in Finder, browse to the Application folder.
  • Press CTRL and then click Microsoft Outlook to see the contextual menu, and then click Show Package Contents.
  • In the Contents > SharedSupport folder, double-click Outlook Profile Manager (previously called Database Utility).
  • In the Outlook Profile Manager window, click the Add (+) button and give the profile a name.
  • Next, click the Options button and click Set as Default.
  • Open Outlook

if this does not help

please raise a ticket with Microsoft Support. it will make your solution process faster
