Emails that come from addresses that exist in our Global Address List are going to the Junk Email folder. Configuration: Exchange 2007, Service Pack 3, Rollup 6; Outlook 2007 & Outlook 2010 All our email from the internet goes to a Unix box running sendmail which then forwards the appropriate emails to our Exchange Server. I tested this by taking an address from the Global Address List, telneting directly to our mailserver and composing a message. When the message is delivered, it is placed in my junk mail. The documentation says that addresses in the Global Address List are to be considered safe. So, putting someone's Hotmail address in our GAL does nothing to help keep their email from being sent to the Junk Mail folder?

Ok. Thank you for your help. Not certain that I agree with "Exchange is doing the right thing." I understand the spam problem, although, if there was a switch to allow non-authenticated address that exist on our GAL, I would turn it on and see what happens.
