Encryption message has got me stumped
OK I'm stumped on this one. We are running Windows XP professional and Office 2003 with Outlook 2003 and Sophos Anti Virus. I recently instigated on Sophos the email functionality to report files that are not scanned due to access denied or encryption. The only encryption we use is the Office password protect for word and excel. When I tested this on an excel workbook that I had password protected Sophos reported the encryption and whenI mapped to the xls upon attempting to open the password box came up as expected. Having gone live with the emailing I have found several docs and xls that Sophos is reporting as encrypted however when I attempt to open they are not encrypted and user has not set up passwords on the files. Ive thought maybe something to do with VBS or NTFS but cannot see any idicators to this has NTFS encryption isnt used within our company and cannot understand simple file permissions causing this. any ideas
