Entourage/Office 2011 sending limits with Exchange 2007
Hello,
I have an Exchange 2007 server (all roles) and I have Windows & Mac clients. The problem I'm having is with message limits for the Mac users, which I understand utilizes Exchange EWS for it's limits. Users are unable to send attachments larger than aprox
20MB. This does not affect Windows clients. I used the settings in the following link to modify the attachment sizes:
http://ministry-it.blogspot.com/2009/08/entourage-ews-attachment-limits.html
Strangely, after applying these changes, I was able to send attachments as large as 15MB (I could not do this before making the changes) but 25MB attachments still are not sent. Please advise.
I modified the limits to be 100MB.
Thanks

I get the feeling that thread is no longer monitored as it's been four days and I have not gotten a reply. I echo the frustration of others who say this should be better documented and when we do bring it to the partner forums it's difficult to get the
help we need.

Thanks for the link Evan. I have modified the MaxRequestLength in the web.config (per that article) to allow attachments of up to 200MB in size, however the largest attachment I can send is 15MB.

Im having the same issue.
I have changed the MaxRequestLength, changed the SBS options to allow 200MB, changed the send connectors to allow more, but it seems to hit a limit at about 15mb.
Even emailing internally has the same issue.

I am still waiting for an update, or further troubleshooting information.

I assume that the entourage clients connect to CAS server directly without any middle device, right?
Quote: “allow attachments of up to 200MB in size”
So, you have set the value to “204800”?
After you changed the “MaxRequestLength”, have you referred the post of ndlucas in the first link that Evan provided to modify “maxAllowedContentLength”?
If not, please launch command prompt, and run the commands below to change the “maxAllowedContentLength” for /EWS virtual directory
in IIS on CAS server:
1.
cd \Windows\System32\inetsrv
2.
appcmd set config "Default Web Site/ews" -section:requestFiltering -requestLimits.maxAllowedContentLength:"209715200"
Notes: The size here is in Bytes, and should match the value
of the “MaxRequestLength”
3.

Not too sure how you guys can post this as an answer, when it is what we have already tried.
Also, to change the setting in SBS2008, the correct appcmd is
appcmd set config "SBS Web Applications/ews" -section:requestFiltering -requestLimits.maxAllowedContentLength:"209715200"
I have already done this, and am still getting the same error when trying to send emails over 15mb.
