Error 4.0.0 (Exchange 2003)
I have Exchange 2003 installed in my server. All emails are received without a problem....but when i send emails using Exchange....i get the following message:
The following recipient(s) could not be reached:
hudson on 4/9/2008 12:21 PM
The e-mail system was unable to deliver the message, but did not report a specific reason. Check the address and try again. If it still fails, contact your system administrator.
<main.universaltaste.com #4.0.0 smtp;450 Client host rejected: cannot find your hostname, [97.66.117.146]>
This happens mostly when i send emails to Brazil and also some american emails.
I am desperate to solve this and i have to solve it until tomorrow...my boss is really pissed and he blamed it on me just because i know a little about computers and servers.
Please someone help...try to give good instructions since i am new at Exchange.
ANYTHING WILL HELP...PLEASE REPLY AND SAVE MY JOB hehe
Thanks!

Hi,
Sounds as a DNS issue.
Make sure that a ptr record for your exchange server is created in the external DNS - the company hosting your external DNS should be able to help.
