Error Updating OAB in ESM
Greetings,
When I try to update the OAB in Exchange 2007 in the ESM, I get the below error:
Error:
Database "MyCompany.org/Configuration/Deleted Objects/Public Folder Store (MyExchSvr)
DEL: d0ac8843-755c-47db-a870-4ea1df81fa6c" was not found. Please make sure you have typed it correctly.
What does that mean? How do I resolve this?

You shouldn't be trying to manage Exchange 2007 OAB through the Exchange 2003 ESM.
To update the OAB manually run
get-offlineaddressbook | update-offlineaddressbook
Do you have a public folder store on the Exchange 2007 server? Does it contain the system folders?

It looks like you've deleted the Public Folder store (not just the
Public Folder database files, but the whole Public Folder tree)! Did
you? Is "MyExchSvr" a machine you removed from the AD "by hand"?
You'll have some work to do to recreate the public folder tree and
reset the system folders. It'd probably be a good idea to contact
Microsoft if you have to do this since you'll be working with ADSIEDIT
to modify properties in the AD.

Hi
If this is regarding the msExchOwningPFTree it's pretty complicated and you need to be sure on what you're doing
Anyway, if you are, i posted an article on this at

But just make sure you don't mess up anything, if you aren't sure give PSS a call so they can help you

That may be part of the problem. System folders may be another part.
Fixing the OAB is another (if OAB generation to a public folder is a
requirement).
It may be that simply unchecking the "Enable public folder
distribution" on the OAB's "Distribution" tab is sufficient.
Since the complaint was that OAB generation fails I'm assuming that it
once worked and that the goal is to restore it to it's previous
configuration. That may be an incorrect assumption.
