I would say restart the Windows Firewall service and try?
Are you installing this server on DC or Member server? Gulab | MCITP: Exchange 2010-2007 | Lync Server 2010 | Windows Server 2008 | Skype: Exchange.Ranger | Blog: www.ExchangeRanger.Blogspot.com

Hi,
Check in IIS if you see OWA virtual directory. If you see the OWA virtual directory than delete it.
Once it's done, start the installation again and post the result. Gulab | MCITP: Exchange 2010-2007 | Lync Server 2010 | Windows Server 2008 | Skype: Exchange.Ranger | Blog: www.ExchangeRanger.Blogspot.com

Unfortunately, I don't see an OWA directory in IIS.

I came across this thread. But I really don't think it has to do with corruption. The CAS is doing something during the install that isn't correct.

Did you gave a try downloading the new Exchange SP1 file and than installing it?
If the issue still exist than i would recommend you to uninstall IIS and re install it.
Once it's done, start the installation again.

Was the firewall service disabled?
If it was, you should have restarted the server after you enabled it.
Also, make sure that you have ipv6 enabledMartina Miskovic

Hi Berry,
Please have a try:
Download Metabase Explorer from the link
http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=17275
.
Use Metabase Explorer and deleted “Owa” from the location
'IIS://IT-SERVER.company.local/W3SVC/1/ROOT/owa'
in Metabase.
Initiate installation of ClientAccess role.
Best Regards!

The path that I have to get to ROOT
IIS://IT-SERVER.company.local/LM/W3SVC/1/ROOT but I don't see an OWA directory. Could this be the problem? Am I suppose to see the OWA directory here?
I'm not sure if this would be of much use, but here are the contents of my ROOT directory
Key Type
AppFriendlyName
AppRoot
AppIsolated
Path
AuthFlags
DirBrowserFlags
DefaultDoc
HttpErrors
AccessFlags
AccessSSLFlags
NTAuthenticationProviders
AspScriptErrorSentToBrowser
AspSession Timeout

I didn't find what Rowen suggested, so at this point I think I am going to re-install IIS.
