Hi Josh, Before you close Exchange Management Console, please make sure you have closed all the dialog boxes you opened from Exchange Management Console (e.g. dialog box for mailbox properties etc.). I've started getting this as well on Windows 7 x64 SP1. I definitely do not have any windows open and this has happened enough times for me not to be willing to write it off. I'm going to put money on a recent OS level patch changing the behaviour. EDIT: IE9 to be precise http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7itproSP/thread/a5ac4fc6-1a98-4215-90e4-d084843bbb9a/

Running Windows 7 and just installed IE9. Getting the same error now: You must close all dialog boxes before you can close EMC. Seems to be related to IE9. Brian

Same thing is happening to all my Exchange boxes. Just started happening and the last thing to get installed on them are updates from WSUS including IE9. Hopefully MS can fix it soon. Until then the only work around for me since I remote into these machines is to simply log off.
