Recently, I upgraded outlook from 2003 to 2013, during Auto-archiving, I get a message to single emails and some of the folders that "You cannot move the items. You don't have appropriate permission to perform this operation."

I did not get such message while using outlook 2003.

Can anyone help me out please?

Hi,

There are two suggestions in this case:

First, please make sure there is no setting to prevent .pst files from growing:

Check the Registry Key below:

HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Outlook\pst
Dword: pstdisablegrow

Make sure the value is not 1. If it is 1, change it to 0 to try again.

Second, please verify that you have enough permissions at folder level of the .pst file. So you need to ensure Read only attribute is not applied on the .PST file:
a.  Right click on the File > Properties > Attributes > uncheck Read-only option
b.  Apply the settings
