Hi there ! I have a PDC Windows 2008 server with AD and a organizational unit called SP. I need to install a mail server Exchange 2007 on another hardware with Windows 2008 server too, but at SP1 Installation step, the installation shows me an error about missing PDC. Does anybody knows this error ? What sholud I do to solve this problem ? Thanks !

Hi, Does that second server is a AD Domain member? What Win 2008 edition r u trying to install Exchange on? Win 2008 R2 is not supported with Exchange 2007. Hi, Can you ping your PDC from this server where u want to install Exchange? Also run this command on on this server in windows command prompt to see whether it returns the name of PDC. NETDOM QUERY /D:YourDomain PDC Dont forget to put Your AD Domain name instead of YourDomain. Also I would recommend to install Exchange 2007 SP2. Hi, Could you please paste the setup log here? Please run "DCdiag.exe /v" and 'Netdiag.exe /v" command on the problematic server to see if there is any failed tests in the result. Thanks, Elvis
