Errors With Exchange 2007
Hello. I've done a search but haven't found anything on this site or anywhere else on the internet. My company has a new Exchange 2007 server that, since we've set it up, has always had troubles with a snap-in error when opening EMC and then clicking on the Server Configuration node: MMC has detected an error in a snap-in and will unload it. It only happened once or twice during setup and upon reopening the console it would be fine, so we figured it wasn't anything to worry about.
However, since we've gone live, it has been happening 9 out of 10 times, and it is getting extremely frustrating having to attempt to change mailbox settings 10 times before I'm finally able to.
Exception Type:
System.Reflection.TargetInvocationException
Server stack trace: at Microsoft.ManagementConsole.Executive.MmcThreadMessageWindow.OnThreadException(Exception e) at System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.Callback(IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wparam, IntPtr lparam) at System.Windows.Forms.UnsafeNativeMethods.DispatchMessageW(MSG& msg) at System.Windows.Forms.Application.ComponentManager.System.Windows.Forms.UnsafeNativeMethods.IMsoComponentManager.FPushMessageLoop(Int32 dwComponentID, Int32 reason, Int32 pvLoopData) at System.Windows.Forms.Application.ThreadContext.RunMessageLoopInner(Int32 reason, ApplicationContext context) at System.Windows.Forms.Application.ThreadContext.RunMessageLoop(Int32 reason, ApplicationContext context) at System.Windows.Forms.Form.ShowDialog(IWin32Window owner) at Microsoft.ManagementConsole.Internal.ConsoleDialogHost.ShowDialog(WaitCursor waitCursor, ShowDialogCallback callback) at Microsoft.ManagementConsole.Advanced.Console.ShowDialog(Form form) at Microsoft.Exchange.Management.SnapIn.SnapInUIService.OnShowDialog(Form form) at Microsoft.Exchange.Management.SystemManager.WinForms.UIService.ShowDialog(Form form) at Microsoft.Exchange.Management.SystemManager.WinForms.UIService.ShowError(Exception ex, String message) at Microsoft.Exchange.Management.SystemManager.WinForms.UIService.ShowError(Exception ex) at Microsoft.Exchange.Management.SnapIn.ExchangeFormView.OnInitialize(AsyncStatus status) at Microsoft.ManagementConsole.View.ProcessRequest(Request request) at System.Runtime.Remoting.Messaging.StackBuilderSink._PrivateProcessMessage(IntPtr md, Object[] args, Object server, Int32 methodPtr, Boolean fExecuteInContext, Object[]& outArgs) at System.Runtime.Remoting.Messaging.StackBuilderSink.SyncProcessMessage(IMessage msg, Int32 methodPtr, Boolean fExecuteInContext)

These stack traces are different every time it seems, also. The above is the latest one.
Also, every 15 minutes I have an MSExchange RPC over HTTP Autoconfig error in event viewer (Event ID: 2002) and I cannot for the life of me figure out a way to get rid of these errors, although it doesn't seem to be effecting a whole lot. There however is no reference in the KB or anywhere else to this Error, at least not that I'm able to find.
Here are the details:
An unexpected failure has occurred. The problem will require administrator intervention. The service will retry the operation in 15 minutes. Diagnostic information:
at Microsoft.Exchange.Management.Metabase.IisUtility.CreateIISDirectoryEntry(String iisDirectoryEntryPath, TaskErrorLoggingDelegate writeError, Object identity)

at Microsoft.Exchange.Servicelets.RPCHTTP.Servicelet.Work()
An error occurred while trying to access IIS (Internet Information Service) metabase. Make sure the Internet Information Service Manager component is installed and configured properly.
Please help me with these issues as it is very frustrating having absolutely no resources on these. We are on Server 2003 Standard x64 SP2 with Exchange 2007. Thanks in advance.

I am having the very same issue, though my error is different. The error I am receiving is
Server stack trace at Microsoft.Exchange.Management.SystemManager.UPNSuffixesDataTableLoader.IsTopLevelDomain(String domainFqdn)
at Microsoft.Exchange.Management.SystemManager.UPNSuffixesDataTableLoader.AddDomainHierarchy(DataTable resultTable, ADObjectId domain)
at Microsoft.Exchange.Management.SystemManager.UPNSuffixesDataTableLoader.RefreshSuffixes(ADObjectId domain, String[] otherSuffixes)
at Microsoft.Exchange.Management.SnapIn.Esm.Recipients.Ma
I am going to install the service pack on Exchange and see if this resolves the issue.
I am running Server 2003 Enterprise X64 SP2
