Can you Create a new public folder database on another server and start moving replicas? I would avoid Option 1 if at all possible.

Please check hardware related errors if any in the system log ( RAID etc). If they are there please take care of that also . And YES as suggested create a New Public folder database on another server and start moving replicas

-1018 errors indicate possible corruption ( possible corruption). You can definatley repair it or better option is to move it as suggested it will create a new DB). The error can be from HDD, Raid timeouts etc in system event viewer, may require some firmware upgrade etc .. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314917

Yes, you can restore from a good backup ( No need to delete it, it will overwritten). You may not be able to restore to the point of failure, but you can certainly do that. Hopefully its a full backup. You may want to copy the existing pf store to another location if its not too large just in case. And as mentioned before, ensure you have the latest drivers and firmware for your storage subsystem before doing that.

Thx Andy. My Plan is to take a offline a copy if the DB (around 130 GB) and run a repair with /p , run /d and isinteg. Lets see if that resolves the issue. IF not , then i might go ahead with a a restore from a Backup. The only probelm is, I am not sure when was the last good backup taken. I am really surprise , even after -1018, still the store is up and running.Raj
