Hi, The number of version buckets(outstanding message queue database transactions that are kept in memory are known as version buckets.) may increase to unacceptably high levels because of virus issues, problems with the message queue database integrity, or hard disk drive performance. You can override the default values for the high, medium, and normal numbers of version buckets by specifying the values in the EdgeTransport.exe.config file.We may need to override the value on the following property: VersionBucketsHighThreshold VersionBucketsMediumThreshold VersionBucketsNormalThreshold Detail information you can check the article below: Understanding Back Pressure http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb201658.aspx Besides, please try the following steps to troubleshoot the issue. 1. Try to manually start Transport services. 2. Try by disabling all AV services and then start the Transport Service. 3. Please rename the queue folder which is under c:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\TransportRoles\data. Note: We may need to stop Microsoft Exchange Transport Service and then we can rename the folder. When we start the Microsoft Exchange Transport Service, queue folder will be created automatically. 4 Run ExBPA and see if any error would be logged there. Regards, Xiu
