Event 12014, MsExchangeTransport
I've upgraded our exchange server from 2003 to 2007 about 6 months back. all has gone well except for I continue to get the following message in my event log on a regular basis:
Microsoft Exchange could not find a certificate that contains the domain name EXCHANGESERVER.domain.local in the personal store on the local computer. Therefore, it is unable to support the STARTTLS SMTP verb for the connector Default EXCHANGESERVER with a FQDN parameter of EXCHANGESERVER.domain.local. If the connector's FQDN is not specified, the computer's FQDN is used. Verify the connector configuration and the installed certificates to make sure that there is a certificate with a domain name for that FQDN. If this certificate exists, run Enable-ExchangeCertificate -Services SMTP to make sure that the Microsoft Exchange Transport service has access to the certificate key.I've tried a variety of things like rekeying my certificate, and re-assigning it using the exchange management shell all with no luck. Any idea where to go next?The only other problem I am having is Outlook Anywhere not working. I only meantion this in case the two are related.My certificate is keyed as follows:Common Name:CN = domain.comSubject Alternative Names:DNS Name=domain.comDNS Name=www.domain.comDNS Name=EXCHANGESERVER.domain.localDNS Name=EXCHANGESERVERDNS Name=mail.domain.comDNS Name=autodiscover.domain.com

After months of on and off trying to resolve this issue I think that this finally fixed it. I haven't seen any messages in the error log, so I'm pretty sure we are good to go. Thanks a lot for the help.
