Event ID's 1006,1030
I'm running an Exchange 2007 server on Windows 2003 R2 and my event viewer is full of logs for event id's 1006 and 1030 that occur every 5 minutes. Event 1006 simply reports:Windows cannot bind to my.domain.net domain. (Local Error). Group Policy processing aborted. When I run gpupdate I immediately receive event id's 1058 and 1030 together. 1058 reports:Windows cannot access the file gpt.ini for GPO CN={31B2F340-016D-11D2-945F-00C04FB984F9},CN=Policies,CN=System,DC=my,DC=domain,DC=net. The file must be present at the location <\\my.domain.net\sysvol\my.domain.net\Policies\{31B2F340-016D-11D2-945F-00C04FB984F9}\gpt.ini>. (The network path was not found. ). Group Policy processing aborted. This appears to be a permissions issue, but I'm not sure what the correct permissions would be on this specific policy. In addition I receive errors saying "The network path was not found" when attempting to view either my Domain Controller Security Policy or Domain Security Policy. Can anyone please advise?

I took a look and "File and Print Sharing" is enabled for the WAN nic. I actually disabled the Intranet nic for the time being to make sure there are no conflicts.

Hiya Ente - did you disable it before or after the problem started? Cheers A

I found that post earlier, but unchecking Register this connection's addresses in DNS seems like a very bad idea for mailbox connectivity reasons.

True - but, is there an entry for the Internet NIC that you disabled in DNS? Cheers A
