Okay I know there are others asking about this cert and how to renew it. This is the link I’m going to and plan to follow tonight will I try to renew it
http://exchangepedia.com/2008/01/exchange-server-2007-renewing-the-self-signed-certificate.html
My question is, is it as simple as it appears? Will it affect anything else? 2 months ago we got a go daddy cert for OWA. I just want to make sure that I don’t
break anything else. Will the end user notice anything? This is my first time doing this and we have about 2200 mailboxes and I get paranoid whenever I need to make a change to exchange. Thanks for any advice!

You need to have Exchange Server Administrator role and local Administrators group for the target server to run New-ExchangeCertificate cmdlet.

You can refer below article while renewing selfsigned certificate...

Hi,
First please try to use get-exchangecertificate |fl to check the "NotBefore" value for the certificate.
Since it is a internal transport certificate, we can just renew the certificate.

Note: Please carefully note the value for "CertificateDomains" of the certificate.
